Explore Dartmoor by train and bus with Dartmoor Sunday Rover

Dartmoor Sunday Rover provides an easy, great value way to explore Dartmoor and have a relaxing day without the worries of driving and parking.

Operating on Sundays each year between end of May and end of September, this network of over 20 bus routes and 2 railway lines link together to form the best value Sunday bus and rail ticket in the UK.

The prices in 2007 were £6 Adult,£4 Child and £16 Family (up to 5 people) and are likely to be similar in 2008.

Tickets can be purchased on the bus, train or at Plymouth Railway stations and are valid on all services.

The trains to Okehampton only operate on these Sundays whereas the Tamar Valley Line operates throughout the year.

Many Dartmoor based attractions offer good discounts for Sunday Rover users and a specially constructed events Programme offers users the chance to join in guided countryside walks and events from Rover destination points.

The map here (pdf file) shows the principal areas served by the Rover Network although the Sunday Rover ticket also allows you to use any Stagecoach Devon and many First Devon and Cornwall services.

A free Dartmoor Sunday Rover booklet gives full details of services - pick one up at bus stations, Plymouth rail station, many libraries and tourist information centres or fill out our leaflet request form and we will send you one free.

For details of bus times, call Traveline on 0871 200 22 33.
