Despite being such a rural area, this part of South East Cornwall is well served by public transport.

Here are a selection of routes operating from close to Looe and Liskeard Railway Stations. Most services in the area are provided by Western Greyhound and timetables can be downloaded from www.westerngreyhound.com or by ringing 01637 871 871. You can also call in at Looe or Liskeard Tourist Information Centres for further information.

The main bus stop in East Looe is by the Health Centre around 300 yards (under 10 mins walk) from the station. Leave the station, turn right and follow the road. The Health Centre and bus stops are just by the bridge. Western Greyhound buses also stop right outside both Looe and Liskeard stations.

LOOE - POLPERRO service 573

Mondays to Saturdays approximately hourly, Sundays approximately 2 hourly.
Key Bus Stops: Opposite Looe railway station, Opposite Health Centre, Station Road, East Looe. Crumplehorn,Polperro.
Operators: Western Greyhound.

LOOE - PELYNT service 573

Mondays to Saturdays - Approximately two hourly.
Key Bus Stops: Opposite Looe railway station, Opposite Health Centre, Station Road, East Looe. Opposite Post Office, Pelynt.
Operator: Western Greyhound.

LISKEARD - PENSILVA - CALLINGTON service 574

St Cleer, Darite & Pensilva.Mon - Sat hourly.
Key Bus Stops: Liskeard Parade (opposite Post Office) and main stops in village on route. One journey a day runs via Minions on Bodmin Moor. Most buses connect at Liskeard Parade with service 573 from Looe and Liskeard Railway Station and through fares are available.

LISKEARD - ST KEYNE & DULOE service 573

Monday - Saturday hourly, Sundays 5 buses a day.
Key Bus Stops: Liskeard Railway Station, Liskeard Barras Street (Library).

LOOE - POLRUAN service 281

Monday - Saturday 3 buses in each direction.
Key Bus Stops: Polperro, Lansallos, Polruan (for ferry to Fowey).

LISKEARD - DOBWALLS, TRAGO MILLS and BODMIN service 593

Monday - Saturday hourly service.
Key Bus Stops: Liskeard Barras Street (Library).

Vehicles can be hailed at the taxi ranks outside both Looe and Liskeard Railway Stations, and many more can be found in the phone book. Use them to get you exactly where, and when, you want to go - and they're cheaper than you think!
